The skiing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This one comes with a bit of a story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I came into Lermoos after a couple of days skiing in Laax, fully intending to keep going. We did what you\u2019d expect on arrival with young kids, spending time on the small bunny slope just behind the hotel. I was walking up and down while they slid 8\u201310 meters at a time. Perfect early exposure to skis, and honestly one of the easiest setups I\u2019ve seen for that stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then overnight, something went wrong. I woke up in intense pain which I\u2019m fairly sure was a groin pull, though I still don\u2019t know what triggered it. For the rest of the trip, even lying still hurt enough that skiing wasn\u2019t even a consideration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So the assessment here is more observational than experiential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s a chairlift a couple hundred meters from the Alpenrose Familux Resort<\/a>, and the area is covered by a single ski pass. But the skiing itself is spread across multiple smaller, non-connected areas. It feels local rather than expansive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For families with younger kids, that\u2019s probably sufficient. You\u2019re not there for long runs or big days, you\u2019re there to get them comfortable and enjoying it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing that stuck with me: I had rented skis on arrival, never used them, and when I returned them at the end of the week, the shop refunded me without me even asking. Very brotherly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hotel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is part of the same group as Dachsteink\u00f6nig Familux Resort<\/a>, and it shows immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a hotel built very deliberately around children, and it executes that concept well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
